On Saturday, January 21, the giant game publisher confirmed that its development systems had been compromised.

“Earlier this week, the systems in our development environment were compromised via a social engineering attack,” Riot Games said via its official Twitter announcement.

The company said it wanted to inform players early and let them know their personal details were not compromised. But the game itself is affected.

This is because the security breach affected Riot Games’ ability to release in-game content. The game publisher said the hack could affect “patch cadence” across other games.

At the time of writing, Riot Games has not given a new release date for “LoL” Patch 13.2. But the company said the delay could last until February.

This just means that the following “League of Legends” updates will also be moved to other dates.

Ahri ASU may be delayed

Sportskeeda reported that the delayed “League of Legends” Patch 13.2 includes many exciting improvements in the game.

One of these is the much anticipated Ahri ASU (Art and Sustainability Update).

We previously reported that Ahri ASU would retain the character’s original skills and gameplay.

But her appearance would be improved. Some of the changes were even leaked in the recent Pride Month trailer for “LoL.”

These include her wearing lighter clothes; with a more pink tone. The delayed Ahri ASU may disappoint many fans, especially since players have been waiting for this update since 2022.

Aside from her, Jax’s VFX update, as well as Patch 13.2’s ADC changes, would also be delayed.

Riot Games is not the only company affected by security breaches.

Previously, the massive T-Mobile cybersecurity hack has been confirmed to affect over 37 million user data.

The PayPal credential hack also compromised more than 35,000 accounts.
