CptPower, 5 hours agoMan I did and lots of it. By the way, why use samsung apps if they are already there from google… moreLike I said, the only app doubled is the Message app. And I think the Files app. That’s it.
All the rest of the apps were just stand-alones. There was no Google Calculator, only Samsung one, no Google Calendar, only Samsung one, no Google Clock, only Samsung one. Also, there was no Samsung browser, only Chrome installed.
As for the Google apps, which I had disabled, I disabled them on every Android phone I buy (regardless of Realme, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Samsung). I disabled them because I don’t use them or I use alternatives. Example, Google Photos, Google Drive, Google TV, YouTube Music, Google Meet, Gmail, etc.
The only Google apps I like and use all the time (even when I had iPhones) are Maps, Chrome, Translate and YouTube.

As for the other apps that came pre-installed (Facebook, Netflix, some Microsoft apps, etc.), I was able to uninstall them. But these apps come pre-installed on all non-Pixel Android phones. And in my opinion is not bloatware if I can uninstall them.

Then again, I don’t understand why the hate for Samsung. When pretty much every Android phone has apps pre-installed (and no, it’s not duplicated).
Also, if you call Facebook or Netflix bloatware, you can easily say that YouTube is bloatware. Something that is nonsense.

MasEnha, 21 hours agoProbably the A52s is the most ideal phone to use as a daily driver. Unfortunately, Uncle Sam’s doesn’t sell… anymoreUncle Sam never sold it. It has never been in the US. LOL.

Anders, 5 March 2023So still worse than the A52S. And yet Android smartphone makers are wondering why global sales are … moreBack then, I never thought I would ever switch to Apple. Fast forward to Scoped storage, Material You, no replaceable battery, no headphone jack, no expandable storage, just less and less freedom. Like, if I buy the A54 in the US, I can’t even OEM unlock it. And with iOS soon allowing sideloading, it’s pretty tempting. I had “fun” with Android like Windows users worry about every little problem they have. Same with Android honestly. Every new Android version adds something I don’t want and/or I can’t turn off, and I still have to maintain the “jank” that is Android. In iOS, it’s much easier. I think it’s time to retire from looking after an Android phone all the time. Either that, or I’ll probably just buy an old Android phone and keep it running.

Ah, so there’s no headphone jack. Classical.

Anonymous, 6 hours agoThe Android stock sucks. I say because I use one. Lots of things I used to wear on my previous… moreWell man I had different experiences to me stock android was always better than any kind of user interface.
Seeing tons of apps running in the background eating up memory disk space and ram is anything but good.
Especially if you have a phone with 4-6 GB of ram and some 6XX or less CPU even sme 7XX have problems with this.
Stock android is not an option is a must for all brands and if people have they can install whatever they want and need.
By the way, 98% of the phone world is regular people using regular apps. No tech geeks and for them any UI is totally useless as its ram, disk and power starved with no benefits for them because they don’t know how to use those benefits.

By the way, why use samsung apps if they are already there from google.
You don’t need to disable one and install another.
Most of them just like Google chrome is much better for my personal experience than Samsung brownser. But still my main favorite is Opera and TOR if I want to be purely anonymous.
The rest is the same.
Why use a Samsung calculator if you have one from Google, the same applies to clocks.
You don’t need to have duplicate apps doing the same tricks.
You don’t need to install the same if one you already have there and usually better.
At least my personal experience says so.

But it is up to each person’s taste and taste.
Don’t force someone to just ask why.

CptPower, 11 hours agoMan its exactly different. Even GSM Arena confirmed that Samsung’s user interface is ram and disk space hungry… moreThe Android stock sucks.

I say because I use one. Many things I used to have on my previous phone (even with Android 5) I don’t have now. Google images is terrible. Just to rotate the image, it saves a copy instead of using the original.

Bloatware is bad. OEMs get paid for this. Google should ban this as a condition of having their services. But a featureless user interface is also bad.

Even GSM Arena confirmed that Samsung’s user interface is ram and disk space hungry… moreI have 60 pre-installed apps on my Galaxy A23 5G (which I can’t uninstall that is). I disabled some of them, which I don’t care about or need (One Drive, Gmail – I use another email app, Meet, Google Messages app, some examples). I had around 55-58 similar apps on my other Android phones (including Realme, Xiaomi or OnePlus phones). Not that big of a difference.
There are some Samsung apps, but I actually prefer some of them over Google (such as Samsung Calculator, Calendar or Messages). The only dual app I can see is Samsung Messages (but I disabled Google Messages and am using the Samsung one). The rest are pretty much apps that you can see on any Android phone.
So, I don’t understand what all this hate is for One Ui. You probably haven’t owned a Samsung phone recently.

Looks great. Samsung is the best.

Anders, 10 hours agoGen Z is ditching Android in favor of the iPhone, according to multiple reportsAs I said, depends on the market. Here in Indonesia, iPhone users are increasing. But growth was slow. This was caused by the price gap which was quite large. The fact is that the price difference between here and the US was not that great. NMW (National Minimum Wages) is the problem. Our NMW is only 20% of the US NMW. With this, the people who can afford iPhones are far too few.

As for sales from Apple, it is even lower. Because some of the usage growth was attributed to used iPhones.

thedeev1, 8 hours agoAgreed, but OnePlus Oxygen OS has no relation to stock Android anymore. To agree.
I would like to say that Motorola and Nokia are pure android experience, even some other brands as Google or Sony use pure android experience.
Oneplus with their Oxygen OS was close to stock UI like Nothing Ui. But since Oxygen OS and Color OS are probably the same today, we can exclude one plus.
The rest is obviously rubbish where 98% of people will use the most basic things on their phone.
And even most advanced tech geeks will never use 100% phone features.

CptPower, 11 hours agoWould rather buy Motorola or Oneplus or Nothing phone something with pure android experience. … moreAgreed, but OnePlus Oxygen OS has no relation to stock Android anymore.

Goose, 23 hours agoAgain with the useless macro camera… I might as well spend that money on something useful, I… moreThe average consumer does not know what a macro camera is, most of them do not even know how to use it or the ultra wide camera
They only see 3 cameras and think it’s premium
Bonus points the cameras have big bumps to give an even more premium feel even though the sensors are still small, but your average consumer won’t know about it

Anonymous, 9 hours agoIt is the opposite. Samsung is the best.Man no it isn’t.
Best user interface is Nothing UI or Oxygen OS because they are as close to stock Android as they can be.
Samsung is the worst. Even xaomi costs less disk space and ram and uses less background apps compared to Samsung.
And even GSMArena confirmed that Samsung’s user interface is bad in samsung base models like A0X and A1X, M0X and M1X

The A54 back looks glossy. Maybe we’ll finally get glass.

so the back door color is going to be useless?
at least they bring back that flip cover, reminds me of my galaxy grand2 with that case that works. it has the music controls but drains the battery.đŸ„Č
